#ThrowBackThursday: Ski Ballet

To me, the 80s were a crazy time that I absolutely obsess over. Today’s throwback Thursday video is a salute to the upcoming Sochi games and a sport that I would love to bring back to the games. It was part of the Winter Olympics back in 1988 and 1992, it is also known as acroskying.

The hair, the outfits, the sport; to me ski ballet is the quintessential 80s sport.

And another gem, in this one I’m not sure if the commentator is really onboard with the sport or making fun of it. Either way, it is comedy gold for winter sport jokes.

The Perfect Halloween Date!

I absolutely love listening to Orson Welles' broadcast of 'War of the Worlds'. To me, cuddling up with the lights off, having some snacks and listening to a recording of the original broadcast is the best way to spend Halloween. I remember being absolutely entranced by the story and the hype about 'War of the Worlds as a child and it has not lost its magic for me as an adult. Why not celebrate the original broadcast's 75th anniversary (yes, it first aired on October 31st, 1938) tonight by giving it a listen!
